The Minnesota Civil War Symposium was held on April 5, 2015 at at Ft. Snelling History Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The theme was, "A Universe of Conflict: 1864".

The sponsors were several Minnesota Civil War Rountables, the Minnesota Historical Society, and the Minnesota Civil War Commemorative Task Force. The program was a part of the ongoing "Sesquicentennial". Its activities will conclude in 2015. See www.mncivilwar150.com for further information.

Stephen Osman was the moderator. Ken Flies and Darryl Sannes discussed, "America and Minnesota in 1864". John Lundstrom discussed, "The 9th Minnesota: Brice's Crossroads to Andersonville". Occurring at the same time as the Civil War was the Dakota Indian wars. William E. Lass discussed, "The Northwestern Indian Expedition of 1864". John Allyn discussed, "Minnesota at Nashville" and Marjorie Bingham, "Minnesota Women and the War".

Task Force member Darryl Sannes presented a, "Report: The Minnesota Civil Commemorative Task Force". "Civil War Music by Voice and Band" was presented by the St. Olaf College's Manitou Regimental (Brass) Band and Audience.
