These photographs were taken about two weeks after the death of Prince, April 21, 2016.
Prince performed shows at First Avenue Club, thereby earning him a star on a First Avenue Wall, as do all who perform at the Club. The Wall is black, the stars are always silver with black text with the name of the performer.
The gold star replaced the normal silver star either late Tuesday night May 3rd or very early Wednesday morning, the morning these photographs were taken.
No one at First Avenue or anyone else has volunteered a name of who painted the star gold.
Thus, Prince has the only Gold Star at the First Avenue Club. Please keep it that way.
