My interest in photography began as a youth with a Brownie Hawkeye camera, followed by a Besa II 120 film camera. Canon and Minolta 35mm, and Yashica medium format film cameras soon became the cameras to use.

With skills learned in High School and college, although seldom used now, hand processed darkroom imagery is possible.

However, almost all of today's photography is digital using a Nikon DSLR, Nikon lenses, and images processed using Lightroom, Camera Raw and Photoshop.

My cameras have changed over the decades, but not the experience that comes from the wonders of photography. I am constantly amazed by the world discovered through the lens, with macro, a world seldom seen, and the images created from it.

My goal is to capture a moment and bring artistic appreciation and joy to the viewer. The intent is to share my vision with others, the essence and spirit of an expression, a scene, a personality, or a relationship.

A word about purchasing prints. First, thank you! However, I suggest examining the print at the desired print size using the crop feature. Adjust the crop location, if necessary, to suit. Second, if there is printing concern, please use the contact area to contact me. I can professionally print images but also have an excellent local photography print shop that does excellent work and can print or make items I am unable to.
